Hollywood director John Carpenter has been hospitalized after suffering a seizure.  The scary incident occurred Saturday while Carpenter was at a scary convention in Florida.  So far it appears that Carpenter will be alright after the collapse.

According to the Toronto Sun, John Carpenter was taking part in Spooky Empire’s Ultimate Horror Weekend.  The event in Orlando featured the scary-movie director signing autographs for fans.  Reportedly, Carpenter collapsed while taking a break from the signing routine.  Carpenter was immediately rushed to a nearby hospital by ambulance and treated for a minor seizure.

It appears that Carpenter is not in life-threatening condition which is good news for the director, his family, friends and fans.  John Carpenter is responsible for bringing some of the greatest terror to life on the silver screen including his classic “Halloween” movie series, “The Thing,” “Christine,” and “They Live.”  Also to his credit are “Big Trouble in Little China” and “Starman” in terms of non-horror pictures

John Carpenter is one director that The Choppah will not allow to die.  Mark my words, Death.  You take John, and I will CHOP you.  This is not a warning–it’s a promise.
