Hey Mark, You don’t have to star in EVERY film…

The Choppah has gotten wind of reports that Mark Walhberg has been offered the starring role in the “reinvention” of the 90s barely-cult classic, THE CROW, starring the late Brandon Lee.  I’m not familiar with the source material but I remember being a tad indifferent to this film.  It was good, but nothing more.  Yes, there were worse films based on comics, namely its sequels..

Anyway, Marky Mark has the opportunity to run through the motions playing a tweaked facet of his shtick and getting paid handsomely for it, following in the footsteps of Brandon Lee, Vincent Perez, Eric Mabius, Eddie Furlong and Mark Dacascos. Does he really want to be know as the sixth guy to star in a lackluster film franchise.  Eh, whatever keeps him away from that Justin Beiber collaboration…
